Every solution rests on assumptions that were once reasonable and are rarely revisited. Finding them is the work that precedes everything else.
A premise is not a fact. It can be tested against the physics, the mathematics, and the evidence. Many foundational premises in technology fail this test immediately.
Not the improved version of what exists. The thing that makes the existing competition's optimization criteria the wrong criteria entirely.
Some technologies cannot be built inside an institution. They can only be built outside one, then brought in when they're ready — cleanly, with the ownership transferring in full.
